Testimonials:
"The games had a good variety of learning modalities, and David spoke to that directly. His exhortation/invitation to invent games was powerful and inspiring. His integration of tech and improv info was surprising & provocative. I am grateful for the written materials included; they helped me relax and participate fully instead of multitasking, scribbling notes."
"This workshop was a breath of fresh air during these stale, stay-at-home times. David was an organized, knowledgeable and inspiring instructor, who led us through a variety of activities that made me feel so much more comfortable using the Zoom interface, and planning Zoom-centric activities to keep my students engaged, happy and excited about online school. The workshop was packed with information, positive and fun - really awesome."
About:
David brings 30 years of stage-based improvisation and 25 years of professional acting on the stage and screen to every workshop and class he teaches. His work involves a combination of theater exercises, improvisation, and movement-based games to help create a unique mind/body/soul approach to training.
His work is based on key tenets of social and emotional learning: creation, communication, reflection, integration, and empowerment.
Preparing the mind without also preparing the body will never produce long-term results. Preparing the body without also preparing the mind will never allow for true progress. But integrating these two important centers of the body can create long-lasting and deep change.
